No. BioBans™ are designed to protect the user’s eyes from the hazards of splashing or spraying of potentially infectious fluids. They do not meet the impact standards established by ANSI (American National Standards Institute). If protective eyewear with impact resistance is required, the user should choose “safety” goggles or glasses.
BioBans™ lenses are intended to be disposable, but the frames can be reused indefinitely. This reduces the cost of protection and insures clean protective eyewear can be worn for each use.
Frames can be cleaned with any common disinfectant or cold sterilant. Dirty or contaminated lenses should be discarded. Please follow your institution’s disinfection guidelines.
